Why Choose a Small Urban Farm?

Locally-grown flowers are superior to anything shipped in from overseas in many ways:

• They're picked at the ideal stage (often the day before you receive them), so they are fresher and last longer.

• They haven't been treated with tons of chemicals prior to being stuffed into boxes, shipped on a cargo plane, and then delivered to your local store.

• Flowers will be unique, premium blooms, carefully assembled into a bouquet - not mass-produced, generic flowers.

• You'll receive varieties flowers that can't be purchased in bulk from overseas suppliers because they don't ship well. For example: zinnias, poppies, cosmos, scabiosa.

 

The flowers we're offering in our Spring 2026 bouquet subscription are the ones that make people stop and say—where did you get those?! At one of my flower bars last spring, where I offered coworkers a chance to make arrangements from the best of what was growing on the farm, one of my friends said, " I haven't had flowers this pretty since my wedding! (....and it's been a few years, know what I mean?)
